02 May 2016 - The Philippine Consulate General in Milan conducted a consular mission and overseas field voting for Filipinos in Vicenza on April 23.

The consular team, headed by Vice Consul Flaureen Dacanay, provided services for passport renewal, civil registrations, notarials, and releasing of passports and documents previously processed in the Consulate and requested by the applicants to be brought to Vicenza for purposes of convenience. Also present in the said event were the attached agencies, OWWA, Pag-Ibig and SSS, which provided their respective services.

A total of 156 consular services were rendered for the one-day event: 113 passports, 11notarials, and 32 other services. There were 72 Filipinos who cast their votes.

Vicenza is a city in northeasternItaly. It is in theVenetoregion at the northern base of the Monte Berico. Vicenza is approximately 60 kilometres west ofVeniceand 200 kilometres east ofMilan. It is the third-largest Italian industrial centre as measured by the value of its exports, and is one of the country's wealthiest cities,in large part due to its textile and steel industries, which employ tens of thousands.
