05 May 2016 – With just five days remaining before the overseas voting ends, Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver, continues to urge registered Filipino overseas voters in Bahrain to cast their ballots. To demonstrate this plea concretely, Ambassador Ver cast his ballot today, ahead of the May 09 deadline.

As of end of voting hours today, a total of 5,740 overseas voters have cast their ballots at the Embassy.  This figure represents 31.03% of the 18,497 total registered Filipino overseas voters in Bahrain.

The Philippine Embassy remains open every day in order to accommodate those who wish to cast their ballots for the elections.  Voting hours are from 9AM to 6PM during weekdays (Sundays to Thursdays) and from 8AM to 5PM on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and Holidays).  Conduct of the overseas voting will end at 12 noon on Monday, May 09.
