Honolulu DKI APCSS Advance security cooperation

06 May 2016 - The Philippine Consulate General attended the commencement of the Advanced Security Cooperation Course (ASC 16-1) at the Daniel K. Inouye- Asia- Pacific Center for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) on May 04.

The DKI-APCSS is a U.S. Department of Defense academic institute that addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the U.S. and Asia-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and conferences. The Center supports the U.S. Pacific Command’s objective of developing professional and personal ties among national security establishments throughout the region.

The ASC Course is a 5-week course, designed to inform mid-career and senior security practitioners from across the Asia-Pacific Region in-depth about this large, diverse and complex region, its many issues, and opportunities for advanced security cooperation.

The course also seeks to enhance the capability of every participant in the areas of critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and decision-making undertaken in complex and culturally-diverse environments. END
