11 May 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Berne finished counting the votes of Filipino overseas voters under the Embassy’s jurisdictions (24 cantons in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein) in the evening of May 10. Of the total 2,371 certified Filipino overseas voters in Switzerland, 56.86 per cent or a total of 1,348 cast their votes.
The Philippine Consulate General in Geneva, which covers the Swiss cantons of Vaud and Geneva, registered a total of 2,334 overseas voters, of whom, 1,588 cast their ballots, comprising 68 per cent of the total overseas voters under the Consulate General’s jurisdictions. Geneva adopted a modified voting system.
The number of certified overseas voters in Switzerland, including the voters in Berne PE and Geneva PCG, totaled 4,705, of whom 2,936 cast their or 62.41 per cent of the total overseas voters. END
