12 May 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to Belgium Victoria S. Bataclan canvassed election returns as chairman of the special board of canvassers, assisted by personnel of the Embassy, with a watcher from a party-list group.  

Philippine Embassy in Brussels had three boards of election inspectors for the April 09 to May 10 overseas elections.  Voter turnout in Brussels was high at 61.13%: 1,189 Filipinos in Belgium and Luxembourg, out of the 1,945 registered overseas voters, exercised their right to suffrage. They voted by mail or in person during the month-long overseas national elections, which culminated yesterday.
