12 May 2016 – Philippine Ambassador Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. was the guest of honor at the opening ceremony of the Philippine pavilion at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM), held on April 25 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Ambassador Vingno was joined by Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes, Consul Ferdinand P. Flores, representatives of Post, officials of AVIAREPS, and the Philippine Tourism Representative in the Middle East (PDOT-ME).

Assistant Secretary Arturo P. Boncato, Jr. of the Department of Tourism (DOT) – Tourism Regulation, Coordination and Resource Generation (TRCRG) led the 30-strong Philippine delegation composed of hotels and resort establishments, travel agencies and Philippine airline companies.

This was the biggest delegation in the history of the Philippines’ participation to the ATM. The 30 business entities were composed of 17 hotels and resorts, 10 travel agencies, two airline companies and one spa company. END
