12 May 2016 – The Storytelling and Story Readers Theater Philippines (SSRTP), in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Yangon, organized a storytelling session at the Philippine Chancery on May 10.
The four-member group read Dr. Evelyn F. Cabanban’s “The Legend of the Guava” to an audience composed of Embassy personnel and staff, their children, and representatives from Pilipinas.MM, the organization of Filipinos in Myanmar, and the Third Story Project.
Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Alex G. Chua expressed support for the group’s efforts to promote Filipino values through storytelling.
