13 May 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, in ensuring that the overseas voters based in Maldives and Sri Lanka under the Certified List of Voters (CLOV) in Bangladesh are able to cast their votes, conducted field voting (modified postal voting) on May 06 in Maldives and May 07 in Sri Lanka with the approval of the Commission on Elections.

One Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG) member, Ms. Joan Q. Jose, from the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka conducted field voting at the Offices of the                Philippine Honorary Consuls with the assistance of the Filipino community leaders, Ms. Judith Mallari (Maldives) and Ms. Florian Abrecea (Sri Lanka). The Filipino community in Maldives and Sri Lanka shared their enthusiasm as they cast their votes for the 2016 Philippine National Elections.  END
