18 May 2016 - The University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P), in coordination with Philippine Embassy’s Commercial Attaché Ms. Alma Argayoso, organized the Philippines-Indonesia Business Forum last April 22 at the Pullman Hotel in Jakarta.

The business forum was part of UA&P’s Strategic Business Economic Program (SBEP) which is the university's flagship program exclusively designed for top management executives. Every year, SBEP visits a foreign country to broaden participants' perspective and enhance their capacity to handle strategic and long-term policy issues that confront their organizations. Graduates of the program are executives in C-level or senior management positions of both private and public organizations.

During the forum, Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta welcomed the participants from UA&P’s SBEP, newly-established Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI) and Indonesian business sectors.

The business forum discussed relevant topics such as “The Outlook of the Indonesian Economy in 2016,” “Partnership Opportunities between Indonesian and Philippine Companies,” as well as “Legal Aspects of Doing Business in Indonesia.”  The officers of PBCI presented before the group a briefer on the Indonesian business environment.
