23 May 2016 -A delegation from the Social Security System (SSS) composed of Ms. Judy Frances A. See, Senior Vice President and Head of International Operations Division, and Ms. Joy Villacorta, Head of OFW Management Department, provided briefings and on-site services to members of the Filipino community in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, on April 29 to May 03.
The Philippine Consulate General in Sydney coordinated with the Philippine-Australia Community Services Inc., (PACSI), a Filipino community organization that assists newly-arrived Filipino migrants, to enable the SSS delegation to conduct a briefing and onsite services at the PACSI office in Blacktown City on April 30, which was attended by around 150 participants. Another session was held at the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney on May 01, which was attended by around 40 Filipino community leaders and media. Ms. Villacorta also provided SSS services to clients at the Consulate on 2 and 3 May 02 and 03.
Consul General Anne Jalando-on Louis thanked the SSS delegation for undertaking the visit and extending services to the Filipino community in NSW. In her presentations, Ms. See discussed the programs and benefits offered by SSS to its members, including the Flexi-Fund program for overseas Filipinos. She informed the Filipino community that the SSS has streamlined its services, including facilities for registration, reactivation, enrolment in Flexi-Fund program, payment of contributions, SSS payment facilities, online services, and the SSS OFW Contact Services Unit.
