23 May 2016 - Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson and other Embassy officials participated in the ASEAN Business Circle investment forum organized by Advantage Austria, the foreign trade and investment promotion arm of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, on May 19. The ASEAN Ambassadors in Vienna and their representatives were likewise present.

Ambassador Angara Collinson cited the Philippines’ strong macroeconomic fundamentals, demographic advantage, and its robust and competent workforce as incentives to investing in the Philippines before an audience of about 60 representatives from various Austrian companies.

She also took the opportunity to announce the joint venture between Ayala Corporation and KTM AG, an Austrian motorcycle company, to manufacture and distribute motorcycles from the Philippines.

Embassy officials stayed on hand to answer inquiries and provide informational materials to the participants present. END
