25 May 2016 - The Embassy of the Philippines in Turkey successfully rendered COMELEC duties on May 09, the last day of the overseas voting period. Counting and canvassing of ballots immediately commenced at 1:30 p.m., right after the closing of the voting period at 12:00 noon of that day.
The last voter to come to the Embassy was Ms. Maricel de Guzman Joven, who deposited her accomplished ballot at 11:59 a.m.
The Embassy’s Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG), Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEIs) and Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) then commenced their respective duties for the canvassing of votes.
The Embassy processed a total of 700 ballots from April 09 to May 09.
The work of the SBEI concluded at 7:44 a.m. on May 10, followed immediately by the canvassing of votes by the SBOC. The work of the SBOC concluded at 2:00 p.m. the same day. END
