PRAGUE FLAVOR

25 May 2016 - Personnel of the Philippine Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic attended a culinary event dubbed as “Czech This Out: Flavors of the Philippines” held at the Na Marjance Restaurant in Prague 6 last May 21.

The Na Marjance Restaurant offered well-loved traditional Filipino dishes such as adobo, beef calederata, lumpia, sinigang, pancit, sisig, pork barbecue and crispy pata during the successful one-day event to promote Philippine cuisine..  

The pop-up Philippine cuisine promotion was sponsored by Mama Sita’s Foundation and organized by Czech-based blog-writer Grace Bantol and entrepreneur Myra Nizaradze, proprietress of P-Noy Store in Prague which retails Mama Sita’s products. Mama Sita’s products were on display and recipe booklets were given out to customers.

A steady stream of guests, including around 50 Filipinos, came to the restaurant to have their lunch and dinner. Czech guests who tried some of the Filipino dishes showed interest and curiosity in Philippine cuisine and gave positive feedback on the dishes that they sampled. END
