27 May 2016 - In celebration of the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence and the 40th Anniversary of Philippines-Jordan bilateral relations, the Philippine Embassy in Amman, in partnership with the Royal Film Commission of Jordan and the Film Development Council of the Philippines, held the Third Filipino Film Days 2016 from May 11 to 13 at The Rainbow Theater, Amman, Jordan. The event featured the films “Heneral Luna” on May 11, “Just the Way You Are” on May 12 and “Muro Ami” on May 13.
The film showing officially opened with a simple reception featuring Filipino delicacies. The three-day event was attended by around 250 guests for each film showing, consisting of Jordanian film enthusiasts, ambassadors from the diplomatic corps, members of the Filipino community, Jordanian nationals married to Filipinas, and employers of Filipino workers in Jordan. All Embassy staff and families, including the POLO/OWWA personnel, were also present during the film showings. END
