27 May 2016 - Thirty-five (35) Filipinos previously detained in the Immigration Center in Manado and the Marine and Fisheries Resource Base in Bitung for illegal fishing in Indonesian waters were repatriated by the Philippine Consulate General in Manado and arrived in Davao City on May 25.

Officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs – Regional Consular Office (DFA-RCO) in Davao City, Department of Social Welfare and Development-General Santos City, and the Provincial Social Work of Sarangani met the 35 Filipinos upon arrival in Davao for debriefing. END
