01 June 2016 - The Philippine Consulate General, in partnership with Noble Life International Hong Kong Ltd., conducted the second quarterly session of Magtanong Kay Doc health and wellness program on May 22 at the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.
Around 70 OFWs availed of free one-on-one medical advice by Dr. Romeo V. Orteza, neuro-trauma surgeon and complementary and alternative medicine practitioner from St. Luke’s Global Medical Center in Taguig City. The attendees also had their vital signs checked using the Quantum Magnetic Resonance Analyzer (QMRA).
After the consultations, Dr. Orteza gave a talk on breast and ovarian cancer facts, focusing on causes, prevention and treatment. Attendees actively participated in the open forum, raising questions on their personal experiences and seeking clarification on potential breast and ovarian cancer symptoms.
During her closing remarks, Consul General Bernardita L. Catalla emphasized the Philippine Consulate General’s objective for organizing health and wellness programs especially for OFWs.
She urged the attendees to encourage their friends in the OFW Community to avail of the Consulate General’s health and wellness, legal and financial literacy initiatives in Hong Kong.
The Magtanong Kay Doc third session for the year is scheduled in August 2016. END
