02 October 2013 – The Philippines’ Consul General in Los Angeles, Ms. Ma. Hellen Barber De La Vega was a featured panelist at the “Gateway to Asia” panel discussion at the Second Annual California Asian Business Summit held at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Hotel on September 20.
The Summit was organized by the Californian Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce (CAPCC). CAPCC represents a growing and influential demographic for the State of California. The Asian Pacific Islander (API) Community represents close to 15% of California’s population and account for 16% of the total business with over 600,000 small businesses. The API demographic is the fastest growing population in California with 26% annual growth year over year
Representatives from the Korean, Japanese, Singapore and People’s Republic of China Consulates joined her during the panel discussion. END
