02 June 2016 - Batang Gilas Philippine Under-18 National Youth Team and several Philippine teams from University of Santo Tomas, San Beda College and Kidshot Basketball Clinic of the Philippines, joined the Inaugural NCAA Pacific Rim at the Thai-Japanese stadium in Bangkok, Thailand from May 13 to 15.                            

This event wasan invitational tournament which gathered some of the top youth teams around Asia for the purpose of helping in the development of basketball in the region. The event was co-hosted by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Traill International School in Thailand.

Accompanied by attaché Ms. Arlene Pascasio-Racho, Ambassador Mary Jo Bernardo-Aragon attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The ceremony was presided over by Director of NCAA Thailand Mr. Robert Traill, who is also the owner of the Traill International School in Thailand. END
