06 June 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Dhaka held an Art Exhibit and a Dance Workshop at the Philippine chancery on May 30.
Mr. Glenn M. Lumantao from Bohol who arrived in Dhaka on May 25, had a solo exhibit entitled “Landscape of a Soul” at the Reception Hall of the Philippine Embassy. Lumantao’s paintings exhibited nature as well as churches in Bohol. The exhibit was attended by the Embassy Officers and staff along with members of the Filipino organizations in Bangladesh.
A Dance Workshop for the Filipino Community followed at the Conference Hall of the chancery. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Lutgardo L. Labad, Coordinator of the Loboc Children’s Choir, with Mr. Raymund Marcaida and Mr. Jerrey Aguilar of the Kasing Sining theatre group. The instructors taught the “Pangalay” dance after a series of warm-up activities. Children of the Filipino organization officers’ also joined and enjoyed the workshop. END
