10 June 2016 - The 2nd Filipino Food Festival at the Hawaii Prince Hotel’s award-winning Prince Court Buffet restaurant held from June 05 to 10, kick start this year’s month-long commemoration of the 118th anniversary of the Philippine Independence Day in Hawaii. Under the theme, “Kalayaan, Kultura, Kulinarya “ (KKK), a number of activities have been lined up by the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu in cooperation with its partner Filipino community organization, the Philippine Celebrations Coordinating Committee of Hawaii (PCCH) for the various types of audiences and Filipino community organizations.
On the second day of the Philippine Food Festival, Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin hosted Hawaii’s Consular Corps at the Prince Court restaurant to allow them to savor delicious Filipino dishes featured that day by the award winning restaurant. The Consul General of Japan, Consul General of South Korea, the Honorary Consul of Belgium, and their spouses and former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemman, Mr. Allan Alvares, PCCH President and his wife, Atty. Rhoda Alvarez, enjoyed chicken adobo, lechon kawali, lumpiang shanghai and pancit bihon, among others.
Filipino songs and dances will be featured daily at the restaurant for a week to entertain guests during the Philippine Food Festival.

June 6 –Grace Nono Live, Special Talk and Performance at the Doris Duke Theatre.
June 11 – Philippine Independence Day Gala at the Hawaii Prince Hotel, Mauna Kea Ballroom.
June 12 –Flag Raising Ceremony at the Philippine Consulate General.
June 18-19 – First Rizal Course for the Youth at the Leeward College (in cooperation with the Knights of Rizal)
