04 October 2013 – As part of its thrust to reach out to Filipinos who need consular services even within the city of Riyadh, the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh conducted its 3rd mobile consular outreach at the Dawaa Islamic Center, in the 2nd Riyadh Industrial City on September 28 to extend passport services to Filipinos who are not able to obtain an appointment from the online system.
The three-member Embassy team, with the assistance from Filipino volunteers based in the area, processed and encoded 215 e-Passport applications.
The Embassy team also took the opportunity to convey Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ezzedin H. Tago’s expression of appreciation for the valuable contribution of the management of the Dawaa Islamic Center in extending assistance to Filipinos, and for providing the venue for the consular outreach activity.
The next consular mission in Dawaa Islamic Center is scheduled on 02 November 2013. END
