15 June 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Beijing commemorated the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence with the singing of the National anthem and a profession of the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas at the Embassy grounds on June 12.
Minister and Consul General Ms. Elizabeth Te read the Independence Day message of President Benigno S. Aquino III while Minister and Consul Ms. Rhenita B. Rodriguez read the message of the Foreign Affairs Secretary Jose Rene D. Almendras.
After the ceremony, Embassy personnel along with their families had a Filipino-themed breakfast consisting of beef tapa, daing na bangus, longganisa, tocino, fried eggs, salted eggs, and fresh fruits. END
