New York.PM.civil society dialogue1

04 October 2013 - The Philippine Delegation to the United Nations (UN) High-Level Dialogue on Migration and Development held consultations on October 02 with civil society and government representatives from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal, the Philippines, Switzerland, and the United States at the Philippine Center in New York City.  The consultations were aimed at reaching common understanding and mutual support on the key issues of the UN Dialogue which is being held from October 3 to 4 at the UN Headquarters. 

 

The Philippine Government was represented by Commission on Filipinos Overseas Secretary Imelda Nicolas, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Jesus Yabes, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Administrator Hans Cacdac, Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Jesus Domingo and Philippine Mission to the UN Deputy Permanent Representative Eduardo de Vega.  Leading the civil society contingent were Ms. Annie Geron of Public Services Labor Independent Confederation (PSLink) and Ms. Ellene Sana of the Center for Migrant Advocacy (CMA).
