16 June 2016 - Upon the request of the officers of the Filipino community in Tanzania, Embassy Representatives Mr. Francis Maynard S. Maleon and Ms. Jereme E. Lagura, conducted a mobile consular service in Dar Es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania on June 11. A total of seventy-seven (77) consular services were rendered during the mission.
The one-day mobile service was part of the activities organized by the Filipino community on the occasion of the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, which culminated to a grand celebration at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
In line with this year’s theme, “Kalayaan: Pagkakaisa, Pag-aambagan, Pagsulong” the two (2) Filipino community associations in Tanzania, the Filipino Community in Tanzania (FCT) and the Filipino Association in Tanzania (FAT) joined forces to celebrate the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence, to show their unity and support towards achieving progress. More than 300 persons took part in the event, including the Japanese Ambassador to Tanzania, among other diplomats. END.
