16 June 2016 - As part of the celebration of the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence in Dubai and Northern Emirates, Philippine Consulate held the Grand Opening of the Photo Exhibit of the renowned Filipino photographer, Mr. Chris Calumberan at the Philippine Consulate in Dubai on June 12.
Mr. Calumberan started his career working in production companies in Dubai. He became a general photographer after years of assisting mentors specializing in Portraits, Interiors and Food. Some of his clients were Nike, McDonalds, HSBC and Michael Cinco, among others.
In his opening remarks, Consul General Paul Raymund P. Cortes proudly expressed his recognition of Mr. Calumberan and other Filipino artists on their contributions in the arts in Dubai. He encouraged all event artists to consider the Philippine Consulate as possible venue of future exhibitions and events.
The exhibit showcased Mr. Calumberan’s different masterpieces specializing in commercial photography where he established his recognizable style over the years. END
