17 June 2016 - The Filipino Community in Athens, Greece, led by the Accredited Community Partners (ACP), celebrated the 118th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence at the Open Basketball Court of the Organismo Neolias kai Athlisis (ONA), located at A. Tsoxas corner M. Melo Streets, Ambelokipi, on June 12.
The opening parade was headed by the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Athens led by Philippine Ambassador to Greece Nestor Z. Ochoa and Mrs. Mayie E. Ochoa.
The Independence Day 2016 Message of His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino III was read by Ambassador Ochoa during the event. END
