21 June 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, led by Ambassador Joseph Gerard B. Angeles, was warmly welcomed by the Filipino communities in South Africa’s Free State Province and in the Kingdom of Lesotho during the Embassy’s consular missions on May 28 and 29, respectively.
On May 28, 2016, the Embassy delivered consular services in Botshabelo, an industrial area near Bloemfontein, the capital of South Africa’s Free State Province, where over 100 Filipinos reside in the area with their families.
On May 29, 2016, the Embassy team was welcomed in Maseru, Lesotho’s capital, by members of the Proud Organization of Filipinos in Lesotho (PROFILE). Approximately 300 Filipinos reside in Lesotho.
The Embassy consular team was able to provide passport renewal service, document legalization service and counsel on dual citizenship applications.
The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria regularly conducts consular missions in the ten countries under its jurisdiction - South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zimbabwe and Zambia. END
