DHAK BOC 1

21 June 2016 – The Loboc Children’s Choir (LCC) and the Bohol-based Dulaang Kasing Sining Theatre group held a concert at the International Convention City Bashundara in Dhaka, Bangladesh on May 27.

The event was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka, in coordination with the Philippine Society in Bangladesh (PSB) and the Filipino Grand Alliance in Bangladesh (FGAB), two organizations composed of Filipino expatriate workers in the capital.

The celebration showcased the talents of the world-renowned LCC, with the theme, "The magical gift of children, from the Philippines to the world." Dulaang Kasing Sining also rendered a two-man performance called “Pangalay”, a dance piece incorporating themes on natural disasters and recovery.

The concert was attended by the Diplomatic Corps, Bangladesh Government Officials, Officers and Directors from Business organizations, Filipino Community Presidents, and Filipino community members.

A plaque of appreciation for the LCC was presented by Philippine Ambassador to Bangladesh Vicente Vivencio T. Bandillo, together with President Glenn Barreda of PSB, and President Adrian Lardizabal of FGAB to Ms. Alma F. Taldo, Musical Director; and Mr. Lutgardo L. Labad, overall coordinator of the Loboc Children’s Choir on concert night. END
