22 June 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Manama, in cooperation with the Order of the Knights of Rizal (OKOR) commemorated the 155th Birth Anniversary of Philippine National Hero Dr. Jose P. Rizal with a Flag Raising Ceremony and a short program at the Embassy on June 19.
The flag-raising ceremony was followed by a program, which consisted of the singing of the national anthem, oath of allegiance to the Filipino flag by Sir Edre Bayno, Invocation led by Sir Rene Caseda, the Recitation of the Code of Ethics led by Sir Francis Fellone, the Pledge to the Flag led by Sir Ricardo Ayuyao, and the Rizalian Pledge was led by Sir Elpidio Quitevis. Sir Carlito Bugarin, OKOR Chapter Commander gave his welcome remarks. The Floral Offering was made by Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver and the Knights of Rizal.
Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Alfonso A. Ver also gave his inspirational message on the said occasion. Fraternal sign was led by KOR Regional Commander Sir Zane M. Thirwall at the end of the program. END
