Hongkong HK Fashion Access 2013

08 October 2013 – Twenty-four (24) Philippine fashion and accessories manufacturers and exporters participated for the first time in Hong Kong’s Fashion Access fair from September 25 to 27 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) in Wanchai, Hong Kong, with the assistance of the Department of Trade and Industry’s export marketing arm, the Center for Trade Exposition and Missions (CITEM).
 

Hongkong HK Fashion Access 2013 3The companies featured various product lines from hand-crafted fashion accessories, bags, clutches, neck pieces, scarves, beach cover-ups, fashion and costume including, knitting services, straw hats, fascinators, millinery materials and footwear. The Philippine Pavilions, located at Halls 3FG and Hall 5F of the Hong Kong Convention Centre, also featured the meticulous designs and craftsmanship of award-winning Manila Wear designers Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Adante Leyesa. Other designers included Dennis Lustico, Arnel Papa, Anne Saguil and Ken Samudio.

Two out of the 24 exhibitors won in the fair’s Asia Pacific Leather Fair (APLF) Awards. Arnel Papa bagged the Best Fashion Accessory award for his carabao horn collection while Kilus Foundation Multi-Purpose Cooperative was awarded Best Sustainable Product for their bags which utilize used plastic materials. END
