In his remarks before the graduating class, Ambassador Ochoa emphasized the importance of education to Filipino parents and the lengths they will take to send their children to school. He encouraged the students to learn more, stating that learning prepares them for the challenges of the real world. He commended the teachers for mapping out the future of their students, citing teaching as a noble profession.
Ambassador Ochoa also shared to the graduating class that June 26 is the day of observance of the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (IDADAIT 2016) and that theme of this year’s observance is “Listen First – Listening to Children and Youth is the First Step to Help Them Grow, Healthy and Safe.”
For this year’s graduation ceremonies, there were 12 Kindergarten graduates, nine Grade Six graduates and, 18 Grade Ten graduates.
The PSG is the only Philippine school in Europe that is recognized by both the Department of Education (DepEd) of the Republic of the Philippines and the Ministry of Education, Lifelong Learning and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.
On May 03, the DepEd granted the PSG a provisional permit to operate the Senior High School Program effective this school year 2016-2017. END
