07 July 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw participated in the annual Summer Camp of the Filipino Martial Arts Academy (FMA) upon the invitation of its president, Mr. Robert Kwiatkowski. The event was held in Nowe Miasto Nad Pilica, Poland on July 02.
As part of the Embassy’s cultural promotion activity and public diplomacy towards strengthening people-to-people ties between the Philippines and Poland, the Embassy shared Philippine dishes such as adobo and inihaw na liempo to the officers and members of the FMA.
Kayaking along the Pilica River was one of the activities conducted together with the FMA students, their relatives and the Philippine Embassy personnel. It promoted closer ties among the kayaking participants.
The Pilica River in central Poland, is the longest left tributary of the Vistula river, with a length of 319 kilometres (8th longest). The kayak route is about 228 km long "Szlak wodny Pilicy". The FMA kayaking activity route was about five kilometers. END
