07 July 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Berlin, composed of Consul Adrian Cruz, Ms. Amor de Asis Del Mundo, Ms. Mylah Rubio, Mr. Melchor Francisco and Mr. Armand Mahinay conducted a mobile consular outreach service in Bonn on June 25.
The Embassy team was supported by members of the Filipino community in the Archdiocese of Bonn/Cologne. Philippine Ambassador to Germany Melita Sta. Maria-Thomeczek was also on hand to observe the conduct of the outreach as well as to greet and meet with the Filipino community.
Using a pre-registration system, the consular team handled a total of 191 consular applications, which included 143 passport applications, five passport extensions, 28 notarial applications, and 14 civil registry applications.
The one-day activity was the Embassy’s second consular mobile outreach for the year. The mobile outreach is part of the Philippine Embassy’s efforts to bring its consular services closer to Filipinos residing in different parts of Germany. Noting the high turnout of applicants in its outreach missions, the Embassy has set three outreach missions for July alone, in the cities of Frankfurt, Essen and Schifferstadt. Three more are planned for the rest of the year that will cover Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg and North Rhine Westphalia. END
