08 July 2016 - "Let us continue to protect our country, in the tradition of our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal, and defend what is rightfully ours for they have been bequeathed to us by our forefathers and those will in turn be our legacy to our grandchildren," says Philippine Ambassador to Brussels and Luxembourg Victoria S. Bataclan as she addresses the Knights of Rizal (KOR) of the Aalst Chapter during their induction ceremony held at the Ontmoetingshuis de Brug in Aalst on July 02.
This statement was supported by Area Commander Sir Mario Fajardo, a former police officer in the Philippines, who said that his Brother Knights should always be aware of developments pertaining to our country especially the issue of the West Philippine Sea (WPS).
The KOR Aalst Chapter inducted into Office Sir Hentjie Garcia who will serve as Chapter Commander for a minimum of one year. Other officers inducted were Sir Precious Magnaye as Deputy Commander, Sir Rey Martin as Chancellor, Sir Philip Autajay as Pursuivant, Sir Ronaldo Marquita as Exchequer, Sir Jason Curioso as Archivist, Sir John Lim as Deputy Exchequer, Sir Jun Aniceto as Deputy Pursuivant and Sir RuelCuizon as Auditor.
The event also saw the exaltation of Sir Hentjie into Knight Commander of Rizal (KCR) from being Knight Officer of Rizal (KOR) and the induction of a new Belgian member of the KOR Aalst Chapter, Sir Luc Van Houdenhove.
Also present during the event were commanders of the Brussels Chapter, Sir Felipe Yap; the Diamond Chapter, Sir Ronny Felix; and the El-Filibusterismo Chapter, Sir Frank Velasquez. END
