10 October 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in Dubai and Northern Emirates notes that its visa issuance for September 2013 is highest in 2013 and is 4th highest monthly issuance since January 2011. September 2013 issuance is 49% higher year on year and 25% higher than August 2013 issuance.
The Consulate continues to streamline its services in support of the Philippine Government’s drive to increase the number of tourists visiting the country.
Last October 01, the Consulate started releasing visa applications through courier service. This move not only lessened the hassle of being present at the Consulate General to file an application and receive the visa, it also effectively made the applicants more aware of the status of their visa applications and the delivery through a tracking service provided by the courier.
Moreover, the visa section was also transferred to a bigger location to accommodate more applicants.
The Consulate is studying more ways to improve this service so more people would get to experience why it’s more fun in the Philippines. END
