20 July 2016 — The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco concluded a consular outreach mission in Salinas and Milpitas, California from July 16 to 17 at the Filipino Community Hall in Salinas, and the Seasons Marketplace in Milpitas, respectively.
The ten-person team was composed of Vice Consul Carlyn A. Monastrial, Team Leader and Signing Officer; Collecting Officer Grace Banez; ePassport Officers Dianne Sarmago and Shiela de Jesus-Tabo; Legal/Civil Registry Officer Erwin Gret; Dual Citizenship Officer Juancho Rillo, Pre-processing Officer Hermenigilda X, Driver/Releasing Officer Manolito Lucido, and SSS Representative Marites Marin.
The Consular Outreach team was able to process 190 passport renewals and one passport extension, 63 authentications, 139 acknowledgements, four Reports of Marriage, and nine Reports of Birth. 61 persons availed of Dual Citizenship services, with one minor derivative.
The once a year outreach mission to Salinas was realized in cooperation with community leaders led by Mr. Orly Jimenez of of the Filipino Community in Salinas, while the outreach in Milpitas was hosted by Seafood City, assisted by a group of volunteers from X-Clusive Marketing.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), represented by Mr. Richard Yum, was also present in Salinas to present the Filipino World War II Veterans Parole Program to the Community.
