21 July 2016 — In celebration of the 38th National Disability and Prevention Week, the Philippine Embassy in Mexico launched a photo exhibit featuring  Apolinario Mabini, the “Sublime Paralytic”, as a fitting tribute to a great man whose disability was no hindrance in pursuing his love for his country.  Mabini displayed his intelligence and patriotism in serving  the cause of the fledgling first Philippine Republic.

The exhibit also honors him as the first Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, and on the occasion his 152nd Birth Anniversary this July 23.

The week-long exhibit runs from July 17 to July 23. The NPDR Week streamer was also on display at the Embassy to draw awareness to the rights of people with disabilities. END
