16 October 2013 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) advises the public that due to the recent 7.2-magnitude earthquake that shook Bohol, Cebu and parts of Visayas and Mindanao, all consular services, including passport services, at DFA Regional Consular Office (RCO) in Cebu are temporarily suspended until further notice.  

The DFA, in cooperation with the management of Pacific Mall, is now taking the appropriate measures so that the RCO opens in the soonest possible time. Normal operations will resume once the safety of the public is ensured.
