Public Advisory on the Basis for Accommodation of Applicants with Emergency or Courtesy Cases at the Courtesy Lane
15 August 2017 — The Office of Consular Affairs wishes to inform the public that per existing regulations of the Department, only the following conditions are considered as emergencies or courtesy cases which are accommodated on walk in bases at the Courtesy lane, DFA Aseana:
- Death in the family requiring the OFW and members of his/her dependent family to urgently travel;
- Medical or legal emergency requiring the OFW and members of his/her dependent family to urgently travel to the Philippines or any other country for medical treatment or legal proceedings;
- OFWs with sufficient proof of such status;
- Minor (7 years old and below);
- Senior citizens (60 years old and above);
- PWD with PWD IDs
All other applicants are encouraged to schedule appointments. Kindly check the https://www.passport.gov.ph/appointment webpage from time to time if there are new slots available due to cancelled appointments.
