Bulletin: On the Toxic Gas Attack in Aleppo
04 December 2018 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has been informed that none of the 85 Filipinos still in Aleppo, Syria, were among the approximately 100 persons affected by the toxic gas attack there last month.
In his report to the Home Office, Charge d’Affaires Alex V. Lamadrid said the Philippine Embassy in Damascus has reiterated its warning for members of the Filipino Community in Aleppo and other parts of Syria to remain vigilant and to continuously monitor developments. He advised Filipinos to avoid the areas of Jamyet Alzahraa, Al-Khalidyeh and Al-Neil Street in Aleppo, which had been targeted by rebels.
