Public Advisory: Online Registration for Pilgrims Traveling to Panama by Land for the World Youth Day 2019

18 January 2018 — The Department of Foreign Affairs advises Filipino pilgrims traveling by land to Panama for the World Youth Day on 22-27 January 2019 to register online.

According to the Panama’s National Migration Service (SNM), Filipino pilgrims must complete the registration process by accessing the SNM website at www.migracion.gob.pa and clicking the “Land Entry JMJ-(SICA)” (“Ingreso Terrestre JMJ-SICA” in Spanish).

By registering online, each pilgrim travelling by land will benefit from the Migratory Protocol under the Central American Integration System (SICA) Framework concerning mass events.

Vehicle drivers carrying the respective vehicular accreditation must also fill out the same online registration form to be able to transit seamlessly through the border. The coordination for the delivery of the badges will be done through the Panamanian diplomatic mission in the region.

The online registration is only applicable to participants traveling by land. Participants who will arrive in Panamanian territory by air are not required to register online. END
