Bulletin: On the Airstrikes and Terrorist Attack in Syria

21 January 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reminds the 1,000 members of the Filipino Community in Syria to remain vigilant in the wake of air strikes and a bombing in Damascus.

The Philippine Embassy in Damascus issued another advisory early Monday urging Filipinos to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement after several locations in the Syrian capital were subjected to missile strikes.

On Sunday, Damascus was rocked by a huge explosion on a highway near the southern suburbs. Embassy Charge d’Affaires Alex Lamadrid reported there were no Filipinos affected in the two incidents. END
