Bulletin: On the Death of a Filipino-American in Chicago

16 February 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) expresses its sympathy to the family of Filipino-American Anthony Del Barrio.

The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago was in contact with police authorities who said they are investigating the death as a possible homicide. Police said they still have no suspect and have requested the assistance of the public for any information that could help in the investigation of the case.

Based on inquiries from members of the Filipino Community, the Consulate General learned that the victim was a third generation Filipino-American born and raised in the United States. The Consulate General also said it has no passport or dual citizenship record of Del Barrio or any member of his family. END
