Statement: On the Liberation of the Last ISIS Territory in Syria

23 March 2019 – The Philippines welcomes the liberation of the last remaining territory held by Islamic State terrorists with the fall of the town of Baghouz in Syria. We congratulate all those responsible for this victory.

The fight is not over yet as the threat posed by Daesh remnants and other affiliated terrorist groups remains. The Philippines stands solidly behind the efforts of the international community in addressing this threat. END
