Filipino Crew Member of Seized Oil Tanker Now Released

27 September 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs, through the Philippine Embassy in Tehran, has reported that the Iranian government has released the Stena Impero, a British-flagged and Swedish-owned tanker, along with its crew members, including one Filipino.

Ambassador to Iran Wilfredo C. Santos conveyed to Iranian authorities the appreciation of the Philippine Government for releasing the said Filipino crew member, who is the Second Officer of the Stena Impero, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all crew members of the Stena Impero. END
