On the Mass Protests Sweeping Lebanon

19 October 2019 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) echoes the advisory issued by the Philippine Embassy in Beirut for Filipinos in Lebanon to take the necessary precautions in view of the ongoing protests across the country.

Filipinos are urged to stay away from areas where protests are taking place, and to remain indoors as much as possible.

The Embassy said there are currently no reports of Filipinos affected by the protests. It will continue to monitor the situation and will provide the corresponding public advisory, as necessary.
