Statement on the Withdrawal Agreement Between the United Kingdom and the European Union
04 February 2020 — Following the European Parliament’s ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement between the United Kingdom (UK) and the European Union (EU), the UK officially left the EU on 31 January 2020, after which it entered into a transition period from 01 February to 31 December 2020.
For the purpose of international conventions/agreements/arrangements entered into by the EU, the UK will be treated as an EU Member State and will continue to be bound by EU rules during the transition period.
In view of the above, the public, specifically individuals or corporations doing business in the UK, is advised to be aware of the Withdrawal Agreement and other related documents which may affect their respective industries.
