Public Advisory: Travel and Deployment Ban of Filipinos to Afghanistan

20 September 2021 -- The Government of the Republic of the Philippines continues to closely monitor the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.

Most Filipinos have been successfully evacuated since the Philippine Government issued Alert Level 4 or mandatory evacuation for Filipinos in Afghanistan in August 2021.

The Philippine government likewise reiterates its earlier call for all Filipinos to avoid traveling to Afghanistan regardless of the purpose. The security situation in Afghanistan remains critically unstable for the welfare of Filipinos overseas, and quality of life in the country is not guaranteed.

The government further reminds all Filipinos that the total ban on deployment of Filipinos to Afghanistan remains strictly in place. END
