Statement on the Occasion of the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Armenia

The Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Armenia celebrate today the milestone 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The friendship between our two countries has remarkably broadened and deepened over the past three decades as we continue to foster and build strong ties, guided by the principles of mutual trust and respect.

There remains great potential for ever more fruitful cooperation between our countries. The Philippines looks forward to enhancing and fortifying various facets of our engagements with Armenia, both on bilateral and multilateral fora, in the years to come.

The number of Filipinos in Armenia has steadily grown in recent years. The Philippines thanks Armenia for the hospitality extended to its nationals. As we further develop our ties, we foresee a multitude of opportunities for people-to-people engagements and cultural exchanges.

Strengthening economic relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Armenia is indeed a significant area of cooperation as we move forward in this post-pandemic world. The Philippines and Armenia can pursue enhanced economic cooperation by increasing the current levels of trade and investments between the two countries.

We firmly believe that through our combined efforts, the friendly relations between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Armenia will continue to flourish for the mutual benefit of our peoples. END
