PUBLIC ADVISORY: Transacting with People Misrepresenting as DFA Personnel

09 May 2023 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) warns the public against individuals or entities misrepresenting to be connected with the DFA and who charge fees in exchange for assistance in availing of DFA services.

The DFA urges the public not to deal or transact with these individuals or entities, and encourages those with knowledge regarding such instances to immediately report such illegal acts to the DFA and/or law enforcement authorities.

The DFA highlights that it is preferable that the public deals with the DFA directly regarding passporting and other consular matters.
